AI visibility for manufacturing software

Plant managers ask ChatGPT which software to use. Get your product into the answer.

Plant managers and lean managers now ask ChatGPT, Gemini or Google which tool to choose, and get a short list of products back. We measure what these AI engines say about your software today, then tell you in plain words what to change.

“The level of detail is impressive, and the content is high quality and exhaustive. What is important for me as a CEO: a clear recommendation on which topics to work on, which keywords to own, and the exact list of pages to create.”

The short answerwritten for AI engines to quote

To get your manufacturing software recommended by ChatGPT, work on the pages it reads before it answers. In our measurement of September 25, 2026 in France, 76% of those pages were software vendors' own websites, and rankings, directories and press were 10%. So the pages on your own website come first: one per method and one per industry your buyers name.

The situation

ChatGPT is already sending some of your buyers to other vendors.

01

The answer names another product

The engines named 600 brands in the 299 AI answers we measured, and each answer names only a few. A plant manager shortlists the products on that list.

02

Your competitors' pages are the ones being read

76% of the pages the engines read were vendor websites: 718 pages on 277 of them. When a competitor has a page for the exact method the buyer names, QRQC or gemba walk, the engine reads that page.

03

You cannot check it yourself

Ask ChatGPT the same question twice and you get 2 different lists. One test on your phone proves nothing, and Google Analytics does not show what an AI engine said about your software.

What we do

We build the pages AI reads on your website, so ChatGPT names your software when plant managers ask.

First the audit: in 48 hours you see which vendors the AI engines name, and which pages they read on each vendor's website. Then the monthly work: new pages on your site, and the few outside websites that count.

What plant managers type

4 of the 20 questions we asked for a vendor in France.

  • “QRQC software for the pharmaceutical industry”
  • “Gemba walk app on a tablet for a factory”
  • “Digital visual management for a French industrial SME”
  • “Alternative to Excel and paper for visual management in a plant”

What the AI engines read

The websites the engines read to choose a product.

Before it answers, an AI engine reads web pages. Of the 2,665 pages the 5 engines read here, this is who owned them.

What works here

What to change first for your software.

01

Write one page per method your buyers name

Plant managers ask with the method in the question: QRQC, gemba walk, 5 whys, visual management. The engines read 718 pages on 277 vendor websites, and 36% of them were service and offer pages. A page per method is what they look for.

02

Add a page per industry you serve

The same buyers add their sector: automotive, pharmaceutical, logistics. A page that shows the method in their sector, with a client example, answers the whole question on your own site.

03

Put your demos on YouTube and LinkedIn

YouTube was read in 43 of the 299 AI answers and LinkedIn in 24, more than any ranking or directory. A short video per use case, with a clear title and description, is a page the engines can read.

The audit gives you this list for your own market, with the pages to write and the websites to work on.

Questions about AI visibility for manufacturing software

Our market is a niche. Do AI engines know it?

Yes. On 20 questions about lean and shop floor software, the engines named 600 brands and read 277 vendor websites. In a niche with few rankings, they read the vendors' own pages, which means your website decides most of what they say.

Should we chase software directories?

They count less here than in other markets. Rankings, directories and press together were 10% of the pages read. GetApp was read in 10 of the 299 AI answers. The audit shows the few outside websites that matter, and your own pages come first.

Which pages do the engines read on a vendor website?

Service and offer pages first: 36% of the 718 vendor pages read. The audit lists the competitor pages read on each of your questions, and the page you do not have yet next to each.

Which AI engines do you test?

ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Overview. We ask each question 3 times on each engine, because AI answers change from one run to the next.

How much does the audit cost, and how long does it take?

$1,500, one time. The report is on your desk 48 hours after your intake form lands. If we cannot run your baseline for any reason, you get every dollar back.
